Cash tickets
Cash tickets can be bought on busses (do not bring large notes) and inside all train and Metro stations.
Every first Sunday of the month in 2010 you can ride the S-trains for free.
Buy tickets with your mobile phone
A ticket bought with your mobile phone costs the same as a cash ticket, plus standard text rate. This might differ if you are using a foreign phone. You can order a ticket by sending a text message to 1415 with information stating your starting zone (or the name of the station or bus stop number), space, number of zones, space and ticket type in Danish (voksen = adult, barn = child, cykel = bicycle, tilkøb = acquisitions or nat = night). Then you will receive a confirmation text. You confirm it by replying JA (YES) to 1415 within one minute. Then you will receive your text message ticket. The ticket will be paid through your phone bill.
10-trip cards
10-trip cards can be bought inside all train and Metro stations. The most frequently used 10-trip cards (two and three zones) can also be purchased on the busses (do not bring large notes), in many supermarkets, service stations, kiosks and newsstands.
CPHCARD
A CPHCARD gives you free transportation in the entire capital region on busses, Metro and trains. It can be bought online, at large DSB train staions, at the Movia information center, Copenhagen City Hall Square (it is the large black glass building), open weekdays 10:00 - 17:30 or in the tourist information office.
