Two Copenhagen girls have decided to share their enthusiasm for their city and offer guided tours to fashion and life style conscious visitors. They are your personal shoppers and at the same time serve as tourist guides in a trendy and different Copenhagen.
In a new initiative, CPH:cool takes guests on tours to the hottest shops in Copenhagen. You visit boutiques with the latest fashion in clothing and shoes, often designed with a twinkle in the eye, but you may also find inspiration for a trendy new way to lay your table or arrange your flowers. Some shops may even offer discounts!
Tailor-made tours
These tours show the heartbeat of a busy metropolis, going into the back alleys and lesser known places. The tour leaders know their city like the back of their hands. Sine Schmidt and Kristina Munkgård Pedersen have worked in communication design and tourism and their tours concentrate on the exciting areas of Vesterbbro and downtown Copenhagen.
The tours concentrate on the more exciting areas of downtown Copenhagen:
Tour 1:
Vesterbro, the colourful and exotic district - an area a 'cool señorita' will love!
Participants acquaint themselves with the district of Vesterbro, which lately has become really hot. It used to be a typical workers district, the atmosphere today, however, has changed dramatically with multiethnic restaurants and shops. There are the innovative design and fashion shops of Istedgade, such as Donn Ya Doll, the smallest coffee bar in Copenhagen, Kaffadil, where a stop is included and finally a visit to the garden called ‘Skydebanehaven’. The dwellers from the surrounding area come to relax, bathe in the sun, to share a picnic with friends while their children use the playground.
Tour 2:
Downtown Copenhagen, vintage fashion deluxe and Moroccan tea!
Many tourists know downtown Copenhagen. Or so they think! Aftert this tour, they'll realize that downtown Copenhagen has many more attractions than the well-known historic buildings and spectacular squares. You pass Stilleben, the boutique with modern handicraft, specifically ceramics. Wettergern & Grauman, a clothes store with luxurious vintage clothing for the modern business woman and a stop at Café de la Menthe, the Moroccan tea room.
