Copenhagen Mermates to Host International Swim Meet in June 2007

As a warm-up for the Outgames 2009, Copenhagen Mermates welcomes all swimmers to a fun-packed weekend of swimming, cultural and social events. From June 22nd - 24th 2007 Copenhagen Mermates will host - for the third time - cph*2007 International Swim Meet. The first one took place in 2002 and gathered 150 swimmers from all over Europe. The second swim meet was held in 2003 as a part of Eurogames Copenhagen. This event welcomed over 400 swimmers.

The cph*2007 International Swim Meet will be held from Friday June 22nd - Sunday June 24th 2007 in Copenhagen at Øbrohallen, a wonderful roman inspired pool, constructed in 1929 and recently beautifully renovated to match the needs of today's swimmers. The weekend will include a one-day swimming competition with surprises, dinner, brunch, a spectacular Midsummer Night's Party and a cultural programme on Sunday.

Visitors Welcome Free of Charge
The participation fee is 60 euros which includes swimming competition, party, brunch and cultural programme. Visitors who just want to watch the swimming competition are welcome free of charge. Limited hosted housing and daytime childcare will be freely available, as we expect the "Competition Kindergarten" to enable more gay parents to participate. Registration From January 2006
Registration for cph*2007 starts January 1st 2006 and will be limited to 300 participants. The registration takes place at our website www.mermates.dk/2007 where you are welcome to read more and subscribe to the cph*2007 newsletter.
