A number of restaurants have specialized in using beer in the preparation of their food.

Brewpub København is a pub and restaurant located in Vestergade, just a few steps from the City Hall Square.  Carsten Hughson, chef, is a beer enthusiast incarnate and at Brewpub he puts together the menu so that it matches the beers in the taps.

Beer is also used as an ingredient in the food, on line with the other components, all contributing to the overall taste.  Beer is used to create balance in the dish through its bitterness, sweetness and body.  Apart from the finished beer, urt (unfermented beer) is also used for glazing and marinades, and hops as an aromatic spice.

Den Tatoverede Enke
(i.e. the tattooed widow) in Boltens Gård very near Kongens Nytorv, could be said to be a Belgian beer Mecca.  On the bottom floor is the pub, where you can order from 100 to 150 different kinds of beer. The pub has no less than sixteen taps for draught beer and Belgian specialties to match any taste.  The beer is always served at the just right temperature.  The staff know what it's all about and is happy to give advice and guidance.  From the bar a winding staircase leads to the second floor restaurant with exclusive beer menus.
Open: Pub: Monday 16:00 to midnight, Tuesday-Thursday 02:00 to 01:00, Friday and Saturday 16:00 to 15:00
Restaurant: Tuesday to Saturday 17:00 to 01:00. The kitchen closes at 22:00.

Nørrebro Bryghus is a bar and restaurant brewery in Ryesgade in the district of Nørrebro.  The building is quite beautiful, the style: Classicistic and it dates back to 1862.

The chef uses beer in an imaginative manner when preparing the meals.  It is an important ingredient in most dishes.  The staff, furthermore, is very helpful in guiding you to choose special beers that match the chosen dishes. 
Open: Monday - Wednesday 11:00 to midnight, Thursday to Saturday from 11:00 to 02:00, Sunday from 23:00 to 22:00.

Bryggeri Skovlyst
Here you get the traditional Danish kitchen as well as the French and Italian inspiration.  Furthermore the food bears a strong influence from the house brewed beer and the many products that are used in brewing. Everything is made in-house and with love.
Open: Monday - Wednesday from noon to 23:00, Thursday to Saturday from noon to midnight and Sunday from noon to 05:00.
