Several streets in Copenhagen are known to have a large selection of retro interior design and furniture shops - from old Danish design classics to antiques. Here is a guide to Bredgade and Læderstræde in city centre, Ravnsborggade in the Nørrebro area and Nordre Frihavnsgade in the Østerbro area.

Læderstræde in city centre
Læderstræde is hidden between the main pedestrian shopping street Strøget and Gammel Strand near the canals and is lovingly nicknamed just Strædet, which means strait in Danish.
It is nicknamed so because of the fact that is used to be the street running along the old beach and harbour. Today however it is filled with cafes, interesting design stores and antique shops.
