Restaurant Era Ora

The Era Ora restaurant is situated by the canals in the district of Christianshavn and can be difficult to spot, as the facade looks like the entrance to a private apartment. But finding this 20-year old restaurant is well worth your while.

Era Ora is the only Michelin-starred Italian restaurant in Denmark and is somewhat of a culinary institution. Using the very best ingredients, small works of culinary art are served alongside an appropriate wine list.

Also open for lunch, when the prices are more affordable than in the evenings. The restaurant may be pricy, but guests are guaranteed an Italian gastronomic experience not found anywhere else in Scandinavia.

When the weather permits, the cosy garden is brought into use for al fresco dining.
