Most shops in Copenhagen and particularly shops on Strøget - Copenhagen's pedestrian shoppping street - are open:
Monday - Thursday 10:00 - 18:00
Friday 10:00 - 19:00
Saturday 10:00 - 16:00
Large stores and supermarkets usually stay open longer, and outside ordinary shopping hours various kiosks are open for sale of tobacco, newspapers and sweets.
NB! On 1 May (Labour Day) the shops are open as usual.
Open on Sundays
Bakeries, florists and souvenir shops are usually open on Sundays. In general shops are granted up to 23 Sundays during the year on which they are allowed to stay open. Copenhagen City Center recommneds the first Sunday of every month. In 2010, that means the following Sundays from 12:00 - 16:00:
