Copenhagen airport to invest one billion in 2008
Copenhagen Airport has announced it is to invest DKK 1 billion in 2008 - the highest investment level since the construction of Terminal 3. The investment will be in check-in facilities; gates and aircraft stands; baggage facilities; security, commercial projects; and other passenger service improvements.
Copenhagen Airport is aiming to be the world's best airport for airlines and passengers and, with that in mind, this new investment plan is based on analyses of customer needs. And 2008 is just the first step. There will be more investment in future and Copenhagen Airport will continue its dialogue with its customers. www.cph.dk

12.9% passenger growth at Copenhagen airport
Traffic growth at Copenhagen Airport has been very strong in February compared to the same period last year, and well above forecast.
This impressive growth is partly due to an increase of 10.5% in transfer passengers which underlines the status of Copenhagen Airport as Scandinavia's main traffic hub. The number of locally departing passengers grew by 12.8% in the same period.
Also, domestic traffic grew by an impressive 18%, reflecting the high propensity to travel among Danes. In fact Danes have the second highest propensity to travel in all of Europe and, as yet, there are no signs that the slowdown in the world economy will have an impact on the Copenhagen catchment area. www.cph.dk
