There are extraordinary culinary experiences waiting for you when Copenhagen opens its doors to the Nordic food festival, Copenhagen Cooking, from 21 - 30 August 2009.
Whether you are a connoisseur, favour country cooking or like a little bit of everything take a bite of culinary Copenhagen and the Nordic region. For the fifth time you can now sharpen your senses when Copenhagen opens its doors to Copenhagen Cooking.
Copenhagen Cooking is a people's festival with something for every taste. Last year gourmet restaurants at reduced prices caused a stir, and this year will also feature some of Copenhagen's best restaurants as well as a new concept: Stand-up cooking with a line-up of the best young Danish chefs. Expect wild food experiments and lots of foodie talk.
A wealth of temptation
The common thread running throughout the festival is the focus on quality. The new Nordic kitchen, represented by restaurants such as NOMA, will be a big part of the programme but there is also plenty of international cooking.
During the festival's 10 days, a wealth of temptation is on offer around the city. Expect surprises again this year.
The programme for Copenhagen Cooking will be available in July. For more information about the food festival and photos:

Copenhagen Cooking is arranged by Wonderful Copenhagen in cooperation with Tivoli, eat 09, Carlsberg, a select group of the city's best gastronomic operators and top restaurants including NOMA.
