Avalon Spa has opened in Copenhagen

Avalon Spa has opened the first complete spa facility in Copenhagen. Avalon Spa is a sanctuary in the city and a place where old spa traditions are combined with the latest knowledge in an exclusive environment. Avalon Spa is located inside the newly renovated Hotel Kong Arthur.

Avalon Spa is the first spa in Copenhagen to encompass all four corner stones of a true spa experience: Treatments for the face and body, mental relaxation, physical exercise and gastronomic experiences. It offers healthy and simple spa cuisine as part of the unique concept.

Design your treatment on the spot
Avalon Spa is considered a boutique spa, where a specially trained team of personal spa therapists welcomes guests to a spa experience out of the ordinary. The choice of treatments has been made easy and simple, as treatment time is booked according to the amount of time one wishes to invest in personal pampering. The spa ritual always begins with a relaxing footbath, while the personal spa therapist assists guests in designing a treatment sequence to match their wishes.

1000 m2 of wellness facilities
Avalon Spa covers 1000 m2 of wellness facilities and offers five private treatment rooms; four rooms with personal shower and bath tub, of which one is an exclusive couples suite with jacuzzi, shower and steam cabin for two. Other facilities include a yoga room, lounge, juice bar, sauna, steam, an eight-person jacuzzi and a fitness room offering FitVibe vibrational training as well as cardio equipment.

Mythical universe
As an extension of Hotel Kong Arthur, elements of this mythical universe were naturally integrated when designing the spa. Accordingly, round shapes are a repeated theme throughout Avalon Spa, where large round windows at the entrance, round lights, and the large round eight-person jacuzzi leads the imagination to the legendary Round Table of King Arthur. According to myth the island of Avalon was inhabited by goddesses possessing healing powers, and was a source of strength for King Arthur.

Avalon Spa opened 5 December 2007.
