"Baisikeli" is swahili for "bicycle", and that is what it's all about: Bicycles. The project is about making bicycles accessible for the poorest of the world. This is done by shipping used bikes to Tanzania, Sierra Leone and Ghana where the bikes are rebuild into meeting the African needs. Bicycle ambulancesThat is bicycle ambulances that create health care accessibility in rural areas and bicycle trolleys that increase farmers income with more than 100% just by being able to move more in less time. Everything is financed and realized through the little bike rental shop in Turesensgade, Copenhagen. From this shop bikes are rented out to tourists on a daily basis and to students on a monthly basis. The bike rental finanses an annual shipment of 1200 bikes to Africa.
