Hamlet's castle Kronborg in Elsinore, north of Copenhagen, has gotten a new neighbour in the culture house The Culture Yard that offers an abundance of cultural experiences.

The Culture Yard is situated at the harbour in Elsinore. The old wharf buildings have been trough a transformation, and together with a modern maritime museum and the famous Kronborg Castle, it forms the area known as the Culture Harbour.

A multitude of cultural experiences

The Culture Yard is an intelligent building that informs visitors and guides them through the building with digital experience platforms and screens.

The culture house has a broad range of different facilities, for instance a wharf museum, a large library, a large as well as a small theatre, arcades, a restaurant, exhibition rooms and workshops.

Thus, the house is constructed to create a variety of experiences from music, shows, theatre, dance, presentations and debates, courses and workshops to literature and much more.
