House of the polar explorer.Knud Rasmussen's House will unfortunately be closed in 2012 due to fire damage. It is, however, still possible to see the house from outside.Only a few hundred meters from the ocean is the house of Knud Rasmussen. This is where he stayed in between expeditions to work and write. Knus Rasmussen was born in Greenland, and is known for his many expeditions to the North Pole. The house in Hundested was built in 1916-18, and today it is a museum and memorial for Knud Rasmussen.
