Amager Beach Park

Amager Beach Park

The beach area in Copenhagen consists of an artificial island just off the coast, forming a lagoon with toddlers' pools and a 1,000-metre long rowing and swimming lane.

Three narrow bridges connect the two-kilometre-long island to the coast. At one end of the island, there are sandy beaches and sand dunes. At the other end, you will find a boat harbour, recreation grounds, playing fields, a picnic site, promenade etc.

Favorite summer spot

Copenhagen's newest beach is busy all day long in the summer, and there is no doubt that this lovely area is one of the Copenhageners' favourite spots to spend the long Scandinavian summer evenings.
