Experience formidable fights, war, fire and love at Denmark’s most beautiful open air stage at the brink of Roskilde Fiord, in Frederikssund west of Copenhagen.

More than 150 adults and children put on their Viking costumes and present this year’s Viking play. As the drama unfolds and darkness falls a marvelous and magical feeling ascends. All performances end with a beautiful torchlight parade.

Danish Folklore

The Viking game's story builds on danish folklore litterature.

The cast primarily consists of enthusiastic amateurs, but more than 55 years of experience have given the Frederikssund vikings a great amount of rutine and the yearly open-air play has long since gained a reputation as one of the biggest events in the Danish summer.
