Every year at Whitsun weekend, Copenhagen Carnival invites to the annual carnival festivities that take place mainly in Fælledparken, a large green area in the district of Østerbro. The Copenhagen Carnival offers samba girls, capoeira, Colombian dancing, colourful costumes, live bands, stalls with food from all over the world - in short party and happy peoble.Among the initiatives in recent years is also a great reggae scene with international names, and an electronic carnival with a series of Denmark's best DJ's.Each year there is a carnival parade through the city. And usually there is Children's Carnival all three days as well. The Children's Carnival offers concerts, and different children's workshops where the kids for example can learn how to dance samba.
