At the Nørrebro Bryghus, beer gets the full attention it deserves. Prize-winning brew master Anders Kissmeyer's smooth handling of the microbrewery's production ensures the availability of up to 10 different types of beer every day. Something to suit every taste! The small-scale production of single-type beers allows Kissmeyer to experiment with the ingredients and to invent new flavours that will complement the chef's creations. Classic Danish lunches and gourmet dinners are served at the brewery. A three-course dinner menu could include crispy fried mackerel served with fresh peas and pea mousse seasoned with Brugge, braised brisket of veal in Bombay Pale Ale and chocolate soup served with a La Granja Stout seasoned curry sorbet. The Nørrebro Bryghus is housed in a Classicist brick building from 1857. There is a bar in the basement, and the restaurant is located on the 1st floor. The restaurant balcony offers a great view of the rustic beer kettles and the enormous fermentor and storage tanks. Now the Nørrebro Bryghus has also become Denmark's first CO2-neutral brewery. This event was celebrated by the launching of the country's first CO2-neutral beer "Global Ale". The brewery's contribution to the climate is that it has bought CO2-quotes equaling the pollution from the production of Global Ale. The same amount of CO2 is removed from the environment.
